Project coordinator for interior design projects

Vestnes Ocean AS is a turnkey outfitting company with projects at shipyards both in Norway and internationally. Our expertise spans various types of vessels, including cruise ships, ferries, Ro-Pax vessels, fish farms, fishing vessels, and offshore rigs. Our history dates back to 1963.

We also deliver complete interior design solutions on land. Through 3D visualization, we help you envision your space before implementation. In the early stages, Vestnes Ocean presents color schemes, materials, and interior concepts, ensuring that the desired solutions are integrated from the very beginning of the project.
Our project portfolio includes office spaces, public buildings such as schools and nursing homes, and, more recently, exclusive individual projects such as hotels and custom kitchen interiors.

With operations in Norway, France, India, and Poland, we deliver complete interior design solutions—from insulation to the key in the door.

To strengthen our organization and take on the many new and large projects in the years ahead, we are looking for a committed and experienced Project Coordinator. This role is responsible for ensuring that our projects are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with current standards. Furthermore, you will play a key role in leading the team and ensuring that projects are delivered with high quality and all deadlines are met.

As a Project Coordinator with us, you will be responsible for the overall planning and coordination of projects. You will also lead meetings and prepare all necessary reports. This position plays a central role in ensuring compliance with HSEQ standards.
This means you must be able to organize and lead teams to deliver on commitments, as well as identify and resolve challenges to ensure that all project deadlines are met.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Project Coordinator or a minimum of 3 years in a similar role

  • Experience with and interest in using various digital tools in daily work

  • A positive and responsible attitude toward health, safety, and the environment (HSE)

  • Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English, written and verbal.

To succeed in this role, you work well independently and are accurate and structured. You understand the importance of cross-functional collaboration and have the ability to build trust through strong relationships—both within teams and with customers. Furthermore, you are proactive, have a high level of execution, and don’t give up when facing obstacles; instead, you see them as opportunities for growth and learning.

We offer an exciting and central position in an organization with a long and solid history, strong expertise, and extensive experience! Here, you will have the opportunity to help shape and further develop a company with great ambitions for the future.

Our team includes both younger and more experienced employees—some with many years of seniority, and others who are completely new. We currently have employees from Poland, Lithuania, and Norway.

This combination of diversity, varied experience, and broad competence fosters creativity and makes us a strong and capable organization that ensures the quality and delivery of our products.

And last but not least, we have a great work atmosphere—which we believe is an essential part of everyday life!

Our modern and colorful administration, furnished with the furniture we sell, is located at Evja in Florø. We, of course, offer competitive wages, a collective agreement with AFP, as well as pension and insurance schemes. Working hours are daytime, but you should also be prepared for some travel.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. We are reviewing applications on an ongoing basis and look forward to hearing from you!
